During this guided tour you’ll visit two unspoiled and typical Sicilian villages choosen by the director Francis Ford Coppola as locations to play his famous trilogy: “ The Godfather ” (1972), “ The Godfather – Part II ” (1974) and “ The Godfather – Part III ” (1990).
Starting from Taormina / Giardini Naxos, you’ll drive one of our classic and convertible Fiat 500, following our tour leader staff car, through the wonderful coastal scenery of Taormina until reach the old little town of Savoca, City of Art, and one of “Italy’s most beautiful villages” (since 2008). Here, leading of our tour leader guide, you’ll visit all the Godfather locations and the most important monuments of the city (like the Cappuccini convent and the cript with mummies from the 18th century).
Then, you’ll drive the Fiat 500 until reach the medieval village of Forza D’Agrò, to visit the other film locations.
This tour is not only a visit of two charming Sicilian towns near Taormina but a real experience into the Sicily island, the locals, their culture and everyday life. It’s a drive across the roads and villages of the most beautiful hidden corners of this area way off the beaten track.
